My daughter and I love to bake banana bread or muffins. The prep is pretty easy and while the bread is cooking it makes the entire house smell so yummy. Whenever I spy a few bananas starting to turn brown I know it’s going to be banana bread time! Here’s our favorite recipe to follow. It’s easy peasy and you probably have the ingredients on hand already.
Ingredients:
It pays to have good help!! |
2-3 brown bananas
2 cups of flour
1 cup of sugar (I use 1/2 cup only)
1 stick melted butter
2 eggs
dash of baking powder
dash of vanilla
nuts if desired (we’re not fans of nuts in our banana bread!)
Preheat oven to 350. Spray a bread pan to prevent sticking. Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl. Pour into bread pan and bake for 1 hour. I also use muffin tins for easy breakfasts/treats. Muffins cook in a shorter amount of time too!
We made some this weekend and it was soooo yummy. Our house smells so good and everyone was happy for this treat. If you have some bananas that are going bad then don’t toss them! Save them for some yummy bread!
