One of my favorite kitchen tools is my magic bullet. I’ve only had mine a little over a year but I love it! There are so many fun things you can do with it. I remember all the infomercials on it several years ago and it made me want one so bad! A fun, easy thing to make are smoothies. After buying my bullet I got on a real ‘kick’ making my smoothies and then like most things, it stopped. I’m happy to say I’ve started it up again and I love them! It’s fun to mix and match fruits and changing things up. I thought I’d share a few recipes with you!
First up is the famous ‘green smoothie’. This is one I’ve mixed and matched a lot on. I can assure you, you cannot taste the spinach! It’s really good!
Mix:
a handful of berries (I like frozen blueberries)
ice/water
A few strawberries
1/2 cup of spinach. Yum! Here’s a reference sheet to follow!
This is a Dr. Oz recipe from one of his shows.
2 Week Diet Breakfast Smoothie
Here is what you need:
- 1 cup Vanilla Almond Milk, unsweetened
- ½ cup frozen berries
- ½ banana
- 2 tablespoons ground flax seeds
- 2 tablespoons Rice Protein Powder
Add all ingredients to a blender and mix until smooth and creamy.
I did make this for several days and I really not a milk person, so almond milk wasn’t my thing either. If you like almond milk, then you’ll probably love this!
These are just 2 of the many options! My daughter loves helping and sometimes drinks one for breakfast too. I usually throw in a probiotic and some flax seed to make it really good for us! I have been drinking one every day for about 2 weeks for breakfast and they really fill me up. (which is great for a teacher/working Mom on the go!) The magic bullet parts are very easy to clean which makes it easier for me too.
