Last week something came across my Facebook feed and I knew I had to try it. It was an article all about a DIY Febreze spray. I’m a big fan of Febreze, but not of the cost! Well this DIY way costs about $7-$8 upfront but it’s enough to make you at least 10 bottles making it just $1.00 per bottle! I can handle that. And guess what? It smells sooo good (even better than regular Febreze, plus the smell lasts longer! Are you ready to try it?!

I was in desperate need after my little boy came down with awful stomach bug just like at Nicole’s house! I’m not a huge fan of spray Lysol because I get migraines and I’m very sensitive to strong smells. This DIY Febreze has a great clean laundry smell and was still smelling fresh a few days later.
What You Need:
Empty Spray Bottle
Baking Soda
Boiling Water
Start by boiling 1 cup of water. In a bowl, combine 1/4 cup of the beads and 4 TBS of baking soda. When water boils, add the water to the bowl and mix. Let sit for 30 minutes, stir every once in awhile. After 30 minutes add the mixture to an empty water bottle. I added in my favorite oil, lavender at this time. Just a few drops 🙂 Fill the rest of your bottle up with sink water. If you want your mixture to be stronger, add less water. Shake up and that’s it! Now get going spraying. Spray beds, couches, pillows, rugs, shoes, drapes- everything! It smells so great. I even sprayed some in car to rid the stinky kid smells!
