Last year I dressed my girls up in their Daddy’s clothes, hung a white sheet from our mantle, and we had a fun little photo shoot!
I bought the D-A-D letters and the foam heart at Hobby Lobby (confession: I returned them later that day.) I couldn’t get the girls to both smile and pose with their letters at the same time, so I had to take individual shots and collage them together. In addition to giving Daddy the photo, above, we also made a short slideshow movie using the fun “outtake” photos, and set it to music (the Charlie Brown theme song).
Another thing we did last year was this cute little artwork. I saw the idea on Pinterest. I simply traced each of the girls hands on scrapbook paper, cut it out, glued it on…and voila. So easy. Typing the letters in a nice font would have been better than my own writing, I think. My husband loves anything with the girls’ hand prints or footprints (because he wants to preserve everything about them at this age!

And finally, how about a questionnaire about Daddy? Consider typing it and framing it, like the picture below. Beautiful. Or, simply interview your kids on camera, asking them cute questions about Daddy. He will love it! This image is from an article titled ““7 Great DIY Father’s Day Gift Ideas”.
