Tis the season for all the holiday parties and events. I don’t know about you but I’m running around like crazy checking and double checking my lists to make sure I’m remembering everything. I love this time of year but it can be incredibly stressful too. One thing I am thankful for is the easy button and this guacamole bruschetta definitely lets me hit the easy button. You won’t believe me so just see for yourself. This is literally a 5 minute appetizer that will get your crowd wanting more.
I love all things guacamole. I love to make it fresh but sometimes avocados aren’t in season and they can be pretty pricey. It also takes a lot of dicing and chopping to make good guacamole. I’ve tried some premade guacamole and it’s never been very good. Recently I heard about a newer kind of guacamole that is made of real ingredients from GoodFoods. Full of hass avocados, chunks in every bite? I had to try it! I was able to find some at my local Walmart. You can check this to find a store near you.
With all the holiday festivities going on I needed something really good and EASY to bring with me. I wanted to think beyond dip and chips so I did a little experimenting this weekend and made something so great that I couldn’t believe how simple it was. This guacamole bruschetta took just a few minutes and was gobbled up so fast.
What you need to do is preheat your oven to 400. Slice up some french or sourdough bread. Toast the slices of bread for 3 minutes then flip and toast another 3 minutes. Take a container of your favorite GoodFoods guacamole and open it up. When your toast is ready, brush on some olive oil on each side. Scoop up some chunky guacamole on each slice and garnish with cilantro. That’s it! Now, EAT!!
