Oh I am so sick of these hot afternoons! I know we are officially still in the season of summer but I’m over it. I’m ready for cooler temps and leaves changing colors. I’m ready to put our shorts away and hang up our swim suits for coats and jeans! But then I snap back to reality and I’m in Texas and it’s only the beginning of September. Boo. Here’s a peek of some of my favorite Fall things…
This is one of my most favorite sites during fall, pumpkins! I just love all things pumpkins. I think they are so cute and love them decorated or just plain! I always buy pumpkins and use to around the house to make it feel really festive. The good thing is that pumpkins can last through November/Thanksgiving time!
It just happens to be this little girl’s birthday in early October so I LOVE taking photos of her in the pumpkins. The BEST place in DFW has to be the Dallas Arboretum. It’s the most gorgeous place year round but Fall is so fun! You will never see so many pumpkins!
Halloween! I could do a separate post all about Halloween! It’s my absolute favorite holiday!! Besides Christmas it really is my favorite! I love all the colors (orange and black) and I love dressing up! I don’t dress up so much but I love kids dressing up! I love everyone together having fun. Halloween usually is nicer weather and makes me think of chili and then CANDY! Everyone loves candy!!
Speaking of candy, one of my fall favorites is this combo right here. Candy corn and peanuts. Have you tried it? It is SO yummy. It tastes like a payday candy bar. It’s just a very good mixture! Yum!! Be warned, it’s very addicting!!
Fall Foods! I love fall foods especially soups. One of my favorites is taco soup! One of my favorites is I Heart Nap Times recipe of taco soup. So good! I love a good chili too on a cold night. So good!! During fall we start to have easier meals from the crock pot too. Nice and easy 😉
Of course Fall bring Football!! I’m a huge fan of my favorite college, Baylor! Now they were just plain awful when I was there. I think I could count their wins on my 2 hands, total, 4 years! But now they are so awesome and just so much fun to watch!! Sic’ Em!! Lots of football will be watched in our house during the fall!
I’m happy to report that here in North Texas we are supposed to get a ‘cold’ front at the end of this week. Our upper 90’s temps will dip into the 80’s! Hallelujah ! It’s time to break out the fall decor and build a fire 🙂
Happy Fall, Y’all!
Shannon
