It’s almost summer time so that means swimming time. It’s extremely hot during the late spring and summer time here in Texas. To beat the heat, we spend the majority of our time in or around pools. Swimming with kids can be lots of fun (and a good way to wear them out before bedtime!) but it can also be stressful on Moms. Teaching swimming skills is something that has to be done for kids. Getting kids used to the water can be challenging. Many kids are fearful of the water, which can make lessons really difficult. Thanks to amazing products from SwimWays, I can know that my kids will be staying secure as they are learning to swim.
SwimWays has been helping to teach children to swim for over 40 years. The swim steps program offers wonderful products at all skill levels. From beginners that are just learning to more advanced swimmers, there is something for everyone. The 3 level program includes water introduction (getting the children comfortable), water exploration (supporting them as they learn to paddle) and swim training (for the advancing swimmer that still needs support).
My 2 year old is going to be learning more swimming skills this summer. Last summer he was just learning to be comfortable with the water and discovering it. He liked the water but liked it best from afar. This summer, along with swimming lessons, he will be learning to paddle and go under more. Since we have our own pool we swim daily so I’m thankful for the great Teach Me website that is packed with resources for me. There are many helpful tools on the site including some teach me to swim videos. I’m excited to be using the Phase 1 spring board float with him this year. I think it will help him feel more secure in the water as he is learning to get accustomed to the water more.
I’m looking forward to a fun summer of sun and swimming! The SwimWays are great for traveling. Are you planning your summer vacations? Plan to take your SwimWays with you. It’s easy to pack and take with you so you will always have it. SwimWays products can be found at your local Toys “R” Us, online and in store. As we travel to the beach on our family vacation we will take ours with us.
It’s never too early to start swimming lessons! Get ahead of the game by signing up now for lessons and water safety classes for your little ones. Make way for summer, it’s almost here!
