Hopefully beautiful weather is at your fingertips now. It’s the right time where it’s not too hot but just nice Spring weather. Perfect for a Picnic! Picnic time calls for some fun foods. I’m here to help you with this! Here are some great ideas for foods you can make in a snap.
1. Pimento cheese
Don’t buy the jarred cheese, make your own. It’s so easy and so much better! Not to mention it’s way cheaper! See my post HERE about making pimento cheese yourself. It lasts a long time in a container and it’s delish!
2. Chicken Salad
If pimento is not your thing then try chicken salad! I make chicken salad a lot around here! It’s great for lunches or a quick dinner. My kids do not like it so it’s only for my husband or myself. I always use canned chicken to make it very easy. Try my favorite, Cranberry Pecan Chicken Salad.
3. Pasta Salad
Pasta salad is so fun and easy to make. Great for a picnic! Try Nicole’s recipe for yummy sun dried tomato pasta salad HERE.

A picnic sounds like a great idea! When my kids were little we would make it a pizza picnic. I would pack drinks and a treat than stop and grab one of the hot and ready pizzas and head to the park. They would love it ๐

Yummy choices! I have been addicted to homemade pimento cheese lately. It’s so much better than that stuff from the store. Have you ever had a grilled pimento cheese sandwich? Yum!

As soon as the kids are out of school, my meal planning drastically changes. Our meals for both lunch and dinner are usually something we can take with us to a park, lake, or that we can at least eat outside in the yard. I don’t want to be standing in the kitchen cooking in the summer!! Thanks for the ideas. I forgot about pimento cheese! I love that and need to put that on my list of things to make! ๐

That sounds great Jennifer! I bet your kids will love all those fun summer place ๐
