Do you want a delicious snack that is healthy and takes just minutes???? Try roasting some roasted chick peas! It was so unbelievably easy and everyone loved them. You can change up the recipe and add your own favorite spices to mix the flavors too.
All you need to do is buy canned chick peas like the following below. I found mine by the beans and canned veggies. You can’t miss them! At home, heat your oven to 450 to gt things going. Open and drain the can and rinse chickpeas with water. Spray non-stick spray on a cookie sheet or baking dish. Place your chick peas on the cookie sheet. Toss in some olive oil and your favorite spices! This first round I did salt, garlic powder, pepper, and cumin. There are certainly lots of combinations you can do! Place in an oven on 450 for 20-30 minutes depending on how many chickpeas you used. I had only used one can but now that I know how yummy they are I will certainly do more next time! About 1/2 way through I took them out and stirred, adding a little more olive oil. You will know when they are ready when the chickpeas are crunchy, not mushy!
These turned out fabulous! They are great in salads, trail mix, or just plain as a snack!
