Do you want to have $1000 more at this time next year? Just think what you can do with an extra $1k!!! Go on a fun vacation, remodel your house, the list could go on and on. I’m doing the money savings challenge this year and I hope you’ll join me!
I discovered this money challenge on Pinterest (duhh!) but my husband and I both think it’s do-able. Yes, it will take some work and we’ll have to pinch a little here and there, but we CAN DO IT!! If you follow this 12 month challenge, in one year you will have $1000!!!
Are you like us and have a hard time saving money every month? I’m a teacher, I totally get it. After my bills/daycare/insurance get paid I don’t have much left. Here are some things I am going to do to save some extra money here and there.
-Sell kids clothes (I do this anyway and it makes great cash)
-Shop for food using the sale flyers we get in the mail. These show sale products and I will make my shopping list based on what’s on sale.
-Have a weekly meal of whatever I can find. No planning and no buying out.
-Make a cash envelope for some ‘fun’ money. Once it’s gone, it’s gone. Don’t over spend!
-Sell old toys/books you no longer need. I love Facebook garage sale groups too like I mentioned in THIS post.
-Use $ saving apps as much as possible. See my favorites HERE.
-When using the computer search on Swagbucks. Read how this saves money from THIS post.
If we do all these things we’ll have over $1000 this time next year! I cannot wait!! What are you going to do with your stash of cash?

Love this idea! Where do you sell the kids clothes? I have tried and was very disappointed with the amounts offered because I paid wayyyyyy more for the clothes. I know one major area where we could save money and that is with food.

I mostly sell on Facebook kids group sell/swaps. Consignment stores do not give much money. Dallas also has several bigger yearly consignment sales and sometimes I will join in and sell my stuff but that takes a LOT of work!
