It’s Fall, Y’all! And that means it’s one of the best times of year, especially at the Dallas Arboretum. Right now it’s Autumn at the Arboretum so it’s the perfect time to back a picnic and bring the kids to come see the over 90,000 pumpkins, gourds, and squash. We had a recent visit to this year’s fabulous display and it was the cutest theme and set up I’ve ever seen!
Pumpkins at the Arboretum is such a fun and popular tradition that has been going on for the last 14 years. In fact, I took a trip down memory lane to remember the first time I had a visit with my daughter at Autumn at the Arboretum 8 years ago. Seeing the pumpkins displayed is one of the best things to do in Dallas in the fall. It’s a great place to take the family and out of town guests you have!
Autumn at the Arboretum is such a popular attraction so I suggest making this your first stop when getting to the Arboretum. You can follow the pumpkins along the way and make sure to stop and take some photos as your kids and family are willing!
This year’s theme is It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! Here is some more information about the pumpkin display to know before you go to help you plan you visit.
- The pumpkins will be on display until October 31st.
- Regular admission into the Dallas Arboretum will also get you into the pumpkin area.
- There are tons of photo opps so dress the kids and bring a camera.
- Wear comfortable shoes because lots of walking will be done!
All the beloved Charlie Brown characters are there for this year’s display including Snoopy, Pig Pen, Linus, and more. You will want to bring the kids and snap tons of pictures.
There are over 90,000 pumpkins to hunt for, a maze to follow, and all the cute Charlie Brown characters to try and find. There’s plenty to do and see in the area so you could stay for awhile and the kids will want to play! Mine loved the maze and the fun pumpkin house. It was so cool!!
You could easily spend the entire day the Dallas Arboretum. They have such a beautiful area to stroll around in and even several eateries there as well. We always opt for bringing lunch and having a nice picnic on the lawn space in front of the lake which makes for a nice view.
As you can see there is so much to see and do at the beautiful Dallas Arboretum this time of year. Make sure you take a trip out to see the pumpkins before Halloween!
Have you ever been to the Dallas Arboretum? They have so many fabulous events happening daily including cooking classes and concerts on the lawn. There’s something for the whole family.
Thank you to the Dallas Arboretum for providing my family with tickets so we could experience the beautiful pumpkins. We had a fabulous visit and enjoyed every minute.
