Brownies + Cookies = an amazing little treat called Brookies. You will not be able to resist this tasty combination!

My kids love sweets- I don’t know many kids that don’t! After school, my kids are always ready for a treat- and especially after dinner!

Brookies

We love cookies and brownies so for the first time ever I tried my hand at making Brookies. What are Brookies? They are a combination of a cookie and a brownie.

There are so many different versions you can make that look so good. I decided to keep it simple the first time. And by simple I mean slice and bake cookies plus a box of brownie mix.

You can’t get much easier than that.

Cookie + Brownie=Brookies. They are the tastiest and easiest treat you can make!

How to Make Brookies

Start by preheating the oven to 350.

Spray your muffin tin really generously!!

Make your brownies in a large bowl as described on the box.

Take a slice and bake cookie and cut it in half. Place half on the bottom of the muffin tin. Sort of flatten it out so it will be the bottom layer.

Pour some brownie mix on top of the cookie dough leaving some room.

Add the other half of the cookie on top so it makes a good mixture.

(There are many ways to do this process but this is what I did and they turned out great!)

Continue going until you are out of cookies. I had way more brownie mix leftover so I made some plain brownies in a circle cake pan.

Bake at 350 for about 20-22 minutes. This all depends on your oven. I baked for 20 and they looked done but a little bit later the cookie on top sort of sunk in.

Let stand to cool off and then carefully take the brookies out of the muffin tins.

Brookies

Store in an airtight container.

These brookies are yummy by themselves but would be even better with a scoop of ice cream for a really tasty dessert!

Are you ready to make some brookies?
