This is one of our favorite times of the year. Not only is it finally cooling off temperature-wise, but we have things to look forward to on the weekends. We are big football fans and watch games all weekend long! Nothing goes better with football then greasy finger foods perfect for snacking. These cheesy pizza bites are a family favorite. They are great for a snack and even go well in lunch boxes!
One of our favorite party snacks is pizza. It’s a kid favorite too so it’s nice to have something the whole family will enjoy. We like to make different versions of homemade pizza (check this recipe to make your own dough!) and these cheesy pizza bites are perfect for snacking and watching the big game on tv.
Cheesy Pizza Bites
-canned pizza dough cut up into small sections for your muffin tins
-mozzarella string cheese sticks
-pepperoni or any kind of meat you would like inside
-spices (optional) like oregano and basil
-muffin tins: greased
-marinara sauce for dipping
Put the oven on 350.
Open the dough and using a knife cut the dough to make small sizes that fit inside the muffin tin. Place some string cheese and meat inside the dough. Add in spices if you want them. Using your hands, fold the dough so that the cheese/meats are inside and the dough is on top. Bake for about 10-15 minutes. Let cool for a few minutes before you take the muffins out. Serve with a side of your favorite marinara sauce.
These make a great finger good to take where kids will be. It is easy to eat and dip while watching the big games on tv. Kids love them too and you can personalize them by adding in your choice of toppings to stuff inside.
