Do your kids like legos but you don’t like the mess everywhere? With a little creativity, you can make a DIY lego table! I put one together one afternoon and so far it’s been great! Come see what I did!!

This post does contain some affiliate links. If you click a link and make a purchase I will earn a small commission.

My youngest is really into Legos. I’m really not into the mess. I previously had all the Legos or duplos in plastic storage bins and they’ve been okay for us until now that he’s older the legos are smaller and he likes to really ‘build’ and ‘put more together’.

I can’t really complain about this because building and putting together is awesome for him but like I said, I hate the mess.

We all know those funny memes of parents stepping on legos in the middle of the night. Legos all over the floor are pretty bad. With the recent birthday came some birthday money and love of some newer smaller lego building sets. I decided to get creative and create a DIY lego table.

I really wanted to make something myself too that we could use for other things too. I did a quick search on some local Facebook groups. (don’t you love those?!!) and bid on a few kid tables. I found a perfect one and got an awesome deal.

This was $20!!!! Really it was listed for more but I got it down to $20. It had been listed for awhile and she was wanting to get rid of it. I paid cash and picked it up that day. Score! It was gently used so I sprayed it a little with some old spray paint I had. I really could have done more painting but my plan was to cover it with lego plates anyway so I didn’t go nuts.

I found a cool XL lego plate to glue down, and then we bought a few more lego pieces and a container to hold them in. All I want to add is maybe some type of bag on the side to hold or legos. That’s my plan anyways!

Here are some cool ideas for your Lego Table you might want to get.

What I love is that my youngest and my oldest will sit here and PLAY!!! I will even sit here and play. Legos are the best and now we actually have a place to keep them all.
