Do you want to spruce up your holiday decor with an easy DIY project? Do you wan to try something that is easy and not hard on your budget? Then you need to try these fun, DIY Paper Trees! You can get most of the supplies (if not all) at a $1 store!!  You might even having everything already at home.

A few years ago I kept seeing some cute ideas on Pinterest on how to make your own holiday decor. I found an easy enough tutorial and set to work! The best part is, you probably have an old book already at home that you can use!

Supplies:

Old chapter book or Dictionary from the $1 store

Exacto knife (to trim the size or hard cover off)

Cutting Mat

Hot glue gun

Decor balls or accessories to go on top

Spray glitter (optional)

I started off using old books around my house but then did buy some dictionaries at the $1 store and they worked great too. I gathered my supplies, put on my favorite DVR shows, and got busy following THIS tutorial. Kids can even get in on the action folding that pages.

They turn out so adorable! You can mix and match sizes depending on the size of your books too. You can spray paint with glitter or leave them natural. I love to add some decor on top to give them a little more height. These make great gifts for people too!

Those are so cute! Though part of me cringes to see books used for anything but reading, haha!

Very true! I did use $1 dictionaries and I didn’t feel too bad about that 😉
