Dr. Pepper Pulled Pork

I’ve got a fabulous crock pot dish to share with you today. It’s only got a few ingredients and it’s a big crowd pleaser. It would be a nice meal to take to new parents too. You throw everything in the crockpot and let it do some magic. This is perfect for a summer BBQ or a quick weeknight meal. It also has my very favorite ingredient, Dr. Pepper!

Dr. Pepper Pulled Pork:

Pork Shoulder
16 oz Dr. Pepper (coke would work too)
Any meat spices or rubs can go on the pork to season (optional)
1 jar of BQ sauce (we like Sweet Baby Rays)

Put the pork and soda in the crock pot. Cook on low for 8-9 hours. It’s better to cook longer on low temperature. After the 8-9 hours take the meat out and shred. It should shred really easy.

Drain the juices out of the crock pot. Put the pork back in and add your BQ sauce. Add as much or as little as you want. We make sandwiches and they are delish! You could also add your favorite sides and make it a meal that way. This is kid friendly and makes great leftovers too!

Make this Dr. Pepper Pulled Pork and your family will be so happy :)
