It’s holiday time which means kids are off from school. What to do to keep them busy? Craft time! I’m going to be sharing some fun, simple crafts you can do with your kids. So gather some paint, paper, and any scraps of paper you have around your house and let’s get started….
Home Made Cards
These are super cute and make great keepsakes. I think my Mom has saved all these little cards I have the kids do every year. It’s so fun to see their little prints change. Last year I had my daughter do the snowman one and she made our little family of 4. It turned out so cute. I added some ribbon and it’s now a fun little keepsake ornament 🙂 These are pretty easy to do and just require a little bit of paint!
Ornament Fun
I LOVE making homemade ornaments. My favorite part of decorating is pulling out all the ornaments we’ve made together over the years! One thing I tr and do every year is a ‘wish list’ ornament that’s pictured on the bottom left. I write down or have my daughter write what she really wants for Christmas that year. It’s fun to look back and remember what was the ‘it’ thing for her. I also do hand prints of some sort too. They are so special! I’ve tried the salt dough several times and it’s NEVER turned out like it looks in the pictures. Maybe you’ve had better luck???
Crafty Fun
These are some examples of fun crafty things you can do together. The trees are made out of cupcake liners so cute! I haven’t done the felt tree but I think it looks super cute. Might be something I try and do next year. The snowflakes we do every year. It’s especially perfect on a cold, snowy day. You just fold a coffee filter and start cutting. Every flake is unique just like real snowflakes.
Happy Holiday Crafting!
