Life is expensive, right? As a Mom, it’s hard to make extra money sometimes, especially if you are a Stay at Home Mommy. It seems like we are always invited to attend fun play dates or activities that cost money. Here are some easy ways to make extra money as a Mom.

Facebook Garage Sales
(Think of this as the easy Ebay!)
I started about 2 years ago and I’m hooked! There are so many (especially if you live near a big city) There are furniture groups and tons of kids groups. I made pretty good money selling on these. I never had anything selling more for $20. I never had anyone not pay. On Facebook search for groups near you. This has been my most lucrative way to make easy money. I went around my house and sold stuff we didn’t need or stuff we didn’t use.
Pros: Little to no prep, easy money under your doormat, get rid of unused things
Cons: You have to been tied to your phone or computer to get notifications, sometimes people are no-shows and you have to start over again
Kids Consignment
Similar to Facebook groups but a lot more prep work ahead of time! Since I live in DFW, there are several big sales a year I can sign up and sell my stuff. Most of these larger sales you enter your items on the computer and price it yourself.
Pros: Nice money (via check) when the sale is over
Cons: Takes a LOT of prep work ahead of time (pricing, entering items, tagging, drop off/pick up)

Resale Shops
Pros: Usually instant cash or store credit
Cons: Most stores are very picky about brands and sizes (for kids)
E-bates
Are you on E-bates? If not, click to sign up and start earning as you shop!I haven’t made a ton of money on from this but a little here and there. It’s great for someone that shops online frequently. Since most stores I need are just a few minutes away, I’m not a big online shopper. I’ve made a few dollars here and there (mostly around Christmas) when I do order online.
Pros: easy to use, they send you a check They do offer a referral program: Click here to see. You could refer people and earn some money too.
Cons: You have to reach a certain amount before they send you a check
Walmart Savings Catcher
Pros: Very easy to use, instant savings on a Walmart card, no clipping coupons
Cons: It’s easy to forget to scan in your receipt! Plus, some people HATE Walmart!
Babysitting/Dog Walking
Pros: easy money
Cons: Takes some time to advertise and/or build a good reputation.
I know a lot of you might do surveys. I’ve never found the benefits to these. I might have done the wrong ones before! It seems they are time-consuming and I’ve never made anything. What do you do to make some extra money?

This is a great resource! I've never thought about selling anything on Facebook, it sounds like a great idea though. We are definitely going to try this at my house! We have so much extra stuff in this house that could really earn us some money.

I am in a direct sales/home party company as supplement income to our family. It brings in over $500 a month and I am only involved 3 or 4 nights a week! It's also such a great way to have mommy time or a ladies night out!
Interesting ideas! Didn't know about the Facebook groups.
This is very informative. Now that there is a marketplace section in facebook. It make things a lot easier. I also am a member of a few groups and have been able to save a lot of money and scored tons of good items at a very affordable price. My kids wear branded clothes and most importantly, SHOES, without me having to spend overboard.
