Every once in awhile I like to experiment in the kitchen and try a new recipe. We have our family favorites but sometimes it’s fun to take a risk and try something new. When I saw a recipe idea to make french onion beef sliders I knew it would be fun to try. You make the beef in the crock pot so that’s a win in itself. This recipe turned out great and has ended up being my husband’s favorite!
French Onion Beef Sliders:
2 lbs of beef chuck roast (This can be $$ so maybe wait for a sale and stock up!)
1 can of French onion soup 10.5 oz
1 can of Beef Consomme 10.5 oz
Cook the above in crock pot on high for 4 hours.
After 4 hours shred the beef (still in crock pot). Transfer 3 cups of the broth to a saucepan. Cook until it boils then reduce to low for 10 minutes.
Split open some Hawaiian roles and lay them on a baking sheet. Place some of the beef on each roll. Add provolone cheese to each roll (on top of the beef). Bake open faced for 5 minutes on 350. Spoon up some of the sauce in a small bowl for each person and serve. This recipe made me 14 sliders. I didn’t put a whole lot of beef on each one since I served it with fruit and a side salad. It was plenty for our family of my husband and I both had some for lunch the next day. If you are feeding a crowd you can certainly double this recipe!
These were absolutely the most juiciest and delicious sandwiches I’ve ever had! My kids even LOVED them (which speaks volumes when you have littles!)
These sliders are perfect after a long day of work or would be great for a weekend meal too! Are you ready to try these French Onion Beef sliders?
