This Graduation Hat Jar is the perfect DIY graduation gift for any Grad on Your List!

Know someone graduating? You can make a little graduation hat jar at home for the cutest gift idea. Add some cash and it’s sure to make the grad happy! You probably have most of the supplies at home too which makes it even better.

For this gift idea you’ll need:

  • Mason Jar with Lid
  • black cardstock or paper
  • money or gift card
  • candy
  • ribbon or twine for tassel
  • glue or tape possibly

graduation hat jar (graduation gift idea)

Directions

Fill a mason jar with some candy. If you know the grad’s favorite candy this helps! Bite-sized candy works great for a mason jar.  You can also do gum or other small treats.

Individually roll up some dollar bills and secure each one with twine. You can also do gift cards but the money looks really fun inside! Add the money on top and more candy to fill the jar.

Draw a square to look like a grad hat and cute out. Attach to the lid of the jar. Attach a tassel with glue or tape.  Your graduation hat jar DIY gift idea is complete! Cute and so simple to make.

This would be a fun idea to make for your kid’s friends or nieces and nephews.  You can customize for their school colors too!
