Who says Halloween has to be full of junk and sugar? Well…. we all know it mostly is but there are plenty of healthy Halloween snacks that are fun and good for kids to eat too. I made a few snacks for my kids for an after-school playdate and they were ecstatic. They didn’t even ask for anything sugary!
Fruit is always a favorite of my kids. There are a few simple things to do to make it festive for Halloween to make it really fun and perfect for a healthier snack option. You can pair these with my Monster Fruit Cups and you’d have a really healthy Halloween snack option that would be perfect for any Halloween preparty or playdate.
To make the pumpkin oranges:
Peel some cuties or halo sized oranges and add a small celery stalk in the middle.
On the outside of string cheese wrapper draw a silly ghost face with a sharpie marker.
Cut a banana in half. Make dots with peanut butter and place a chocolate chip on top for the eyes.
Another reason to make these- they were so easy and took probably 5 minutes to put together!
