Now that the kids are officially in school I need some good snacks for them for when they come home STARVING. I totally get it, they are busy bees and need some good treats to snack on. I like to give them some good options and not just solid sugar so this honey yogurt dip is a good option. It’s full of flavor and dips are just fun, right? You can add so many things to dip in them. This is perfect for fall and if your kids are yogurt fans they will LOVE this one too.
This honey apple dip is great because it’s super easy to make. I can make a batch of it right before pick up time, pop it in the fridge and by the time the starving kids get home they can be dipping away with all sorts of treats. My daughter though the apple dip would be good to eat by itself. I told her I wasn’t sure about that! Anyways, I’m a fan of easy. Do your kids like yogurt and cinnamon? Mine love it! They eat cinnamon toast frequently and yogurt weekly or sometimes daily around here. Are you ready for this recipe? The one thing it does call for is apple butter. I wasn’t sure about it but I did find some at my Walmart and you can also get it other places too.
Honey Yogurt Dip
1 cup of plain yogurt
1/4 cup of apple butter
2-3 TBSP of honey
1/4 tsp of cinnamon
Mix everything together in a bowl. I added in 2 tbsp of honey and then added in another tbsp for some extra sweetness. You might decide 2 is better. I also added in more cinnamon too because my kids like it. You can also put in less. I cover this and put in the fridge right away for at least 30 minutes.
Serve with cold apple slices, pretzels, graham crackers, animal crackers, or other treats.
