I agree. It sometimes seems so easy to hand off the toddler to the hubby and tell him about how bad my day was, but I can tell he truly appreciates it when I am happy to see him and eager to hear about his day. I would also add, make sure to praise him for working so hard, even when the hours are long. That's the one I'm working on the most. I really hate when he works late, but I want him to know I appreciate how hard he works for our family. Thanks for sharing!

You are so right! I know my husband would much rather be home early with his family than working long hours. He deserves appreciation as much as Mommy does – absolutely. Thank you so much for reading and commenting!! We love and appreciate our readers!!

Thank you for sharing, Miz! I'm sooo glad you enjoyed this post. I know many wives can identify with this topic in one way or another. The last thing I ever want is for my husband to have to brace himself before he walks in the door. I want him to look forward to it! Thank you so much for reading!

Thank you for your honesty! I always plan to be that "50's housewife" when my husband arrives home but it never goes as planned. Good to know I'm not along 🙂

There are many days my husband leaves the house before I get and and is home after I'm in bed. So he only sees me sleeping. 🙁 But the days he does make it home before the kids are in bed, we try REALLY hard to have a peaceful evening, so he can relax after work. We struggle with is some nights, but I find the more organized I am during the day, the better our evenings go. I'm sure it will always be a work in progress through!
