Yay for Summertime! Are you tired of washing bathing suits, towels, and sunscreen-ed little kids, yet? I’m getting there. But, really, swimming is a lot of fun, and honestly, the only way to be outside in the Texas summer, is to be WET!
My little guy (17 months old) is loving the pool this year. He spends time in his super cool SwimWays Baby Spring Float, and pretends that he’s in a boat! It’s a great way to introduce him to the water. He can have his own little pool of water all around him, and he can splash and play! It has a soft mesh seat and a fabric covering so that it’s comfy. It also has a low center of gravity that gives babies added security and stability. It’s light-weight, and easy to throw into the car for pool outings.
SwimWays has great stuff. They’ve been teaching kids to swim for over 40 years, with products for all skill levels. Great swim products help kids build confidence in the water. (And they help build the parents’ confidence, too!) SwimWays is always thinking about our kids’ safety. For example. our little SwimWays Baby Spring Float came with an adjustable and removable UPF 50+ sun canopy!
We don’t have our own swimming pool, but we have a great community pool. There’s one area that is very shallow for the little ones to roam, but it has an abrupt drop-off into the main pool, so I have to stay near the baby at all times. This float makes me feel more secure. Although I still need to be near him (it’s not a life jacket), he is basically secure and will not fall under water if I am distracted for a quick second (by his sisters’ constant, “Mom, watch me!” “Look what I can do!”)
Even though I am already weary of washing towels and lugging bags of swimming supplies/snacks to the pool constantly…truthfully, there’s nothing I’d rather be doing this summer. It’s FREE, and it’s FUN! All we need is our helpful SwimWays swimming gear (which you can purchase at Toys “R” Us) and we’re all set!
Happy Swimming to You!
