Not Your Typical Dip Recipes

It’s football season, and that means parties, barbecues and tailgating! If you’re not a football fan, you will surely be invited to a baby shower, potluck or holiday party at some point this year.  Here are some fantastic dip recipes that are not your traditional vegetable, queso or onion recipes.  Your guests will LOVE these creative spins on this classic party feature.

First up:  Orange-Pineapple Fruit Dip
With all the savory vegetable, spinach and bean dips on the table, this creamy sweet dip will taste like dessert!  But you’ll serve it with fruit so that your guests feel less guilty about all the buffalo wings they’ve eaten that day. The recipe includes 7 ounces of marshmallow cream and 8 ounces of cream cheese.  How can THAT not be the best thing you’ve ever tasted?!

Next up:  Queso Blanco Dip
Anyone can melt a block of velveeta and throw in a can of rotel, but YOU can make a delectible queso blanco dip with a few easy ingredients, some half-in-half, and a couple of chopped jalapenos for added kick.  Very simple and I’m guessing WAY better than a certain name brand jar of white queso you find in the chip aisle.

How about a Slow Cooker Warm Chili Cheese Dip?
If that doesn’t scream “football party” then I don’t know what does.  The recipe includes salsa, cream cheese and garlic… Off to a great start, right?  You can probably just serve it right out of the slow cooker to keep it warm.  Your guests won’t mind – they just want to dig in ASAP!

Better plan to run longer on Monday, because this Hot Bacon and Swiss Dip is heavy duty! But it will be soooo worth it.  Cream cheese, swiss cheese, bacon, mayo, green onions…and a Ritz cracker topping.  Yum.

Finally, I have to end with this, because I still can’t believe it exists. A Reese’s Peanut Butter Cheese Ball!  OMG!  I don’t think I could make this for a party, because then I’d have to share it.  Whoever developed this recipe is my cooking hero.

I found each of these delectable dip recipes on Six Sisters’ Stuff.  They’ve proven that the basic formula for awesome dip is a variety of creamy cheeses, plus your favorite food flavors. Can’t go wrong!

What is your go-to dip when you’re hosting?  Share it on our Facebook or Twitter pages!
