One late afternoon I was quickly grocery shopping for a few essentials while my husband was with the kids at soccer practice. I planned on picking up a $5 pizza for dinner. I was not in the mood for cardboard so I was trying to find something I can make fast but would taste better than the ready to eat pizza! Pizza Bites came to my mind in the cheese section of the store and the rest is history!
Pizza Bites:
Canned Crescent Rolls (2)
Pizza Sauce
Mozzarella Cheese (it would be easier to do sticks!)
Pepperoni or other pizza toppings you like
Start by preheating the oven to follow the dough directions. Open the crescent can and roll out to start separating each one. You should have 8 crescent. Take each triangle and add sauce, cheese, and toppings. Roll up like you would and pinch to try and seal it better. (note: I only had shredded mozzarella but next time I’ll use cheese sticks!) Keep going until you have filled every triangle. I bought 2 cans so my daughter could take extras for lunch the next day. Bake as directed.
As soon as the soccer kids came in the door dinner was ready and no store bought yucky pizza! This is a VERY light meal so I paired it with a side salad and it was fine for us. This would also make a fun after school snack or a good lunch!
