Soda Pop cakes are about the easiest desserts to make! They only call for 2 things- a cake mix and a can of soda! It’s a great thing to make when you have a sweet tooth and low on eggs or oil.
My daughter and I have a major sweet tooth. It’s not necessarily a good thing but sometimes you just want a yummy dessert! Now that we are trapped in the house 24/7 it seems like we are all craving sweets or food of some sort.
Now that the country is low on supplies at grocery stores (hopefully as you are reading this things are back together!!) but these 2 ingredient cupcakes are just the ticket because they take no eggs, oil, or other essentials- just the box of cake mix and 12 oz of a soda!
You will bake as directed on the box. As you add in the soda (we used coke in this cake) the mix will look differently. It looks very fluffy.
When you fill the cake pan it won’t fill all the way to the top like it would with a normal cake mix either so just keep that in mind.
I want to also share that also this cake is extremely delicious (because I love all chocolate cake!) it is a bit crumbly. It’s very moist and tasty but it does fall apart very easily so keep that in mind!
There are so many different versions of this too. I’ve been seeing soda pop cakes in my feed lately because they are easy and take 2 things. The beauty about them is that you can mix and match. You can easily do a white cake with orange soda or even grape soda. There are so many ways to mix it up!
