Have your kids been on you this summer about making slime? Mine have! All summer long, all day long they want to make slime! Finally, I gave in and we had a day of making all sorts of slime. I decided it was best to make a super simple slime recipe that even they could get involved in making. It turned out great and they had so much fun!
This super simple slime recipe is just about the easiest thing to make. It takes about 5 minutes if you have glitter glue and contact solution then you have just about all you need! The other thing you need is a teaspoon of baking soda.
We did make 2 different versions, one ‘fluffy slime’ by adding in some shaving cream and one regular simple slime recipe with just glue and contact solution. Check out this video showing us making it.
In the video, we used Elmer’s Glue and food coloring to mix. To make the super simple recipe all you need is Glitter Glue that is already colored and contact solution!
To make all you do is mix the glitter glue (8 oz bottle) into a bowl with a teaspoon of baking soda. Have the kids stir as you splash in small doses of contact solution. This will make it less sticky. It’s best to do this in small phases. Have the kids put contact solution on their hands and then pick up the slime to really work with their hands. Have fun and play!
