Searching for a simple way to help kids express gratitude? Make a thankful pumpkin! It’s easy, fun, and a great way to get the entire family involved.
Have you ever done a thankful pumpkin with your kids before? We started doing one a few years ago and the kids have really looked forward to it every year. It’s a great way to use a pumpkin leftover from Halloween and takes just a few minutes a day.
All you need is a good-sized pumpkin (or kids can use a smaller pumpkin for just themselves!) and a sharpie marker. We discovered that the perfect time to do our thankful pumpkin was just before dinner so we’d all be together and have a chance to write a few things down.
Take a moment each day and have everyone in the family say something they are thankful for. Add it to the pumpkin and keep the list going all throughout the Thanksgiving season! It’s super simple and a great activity to do together.
