Thanksgiving is here, are you ready or feeling totally stressed? Over the years I saw my sweet Nana and Mom slave away in the kitchen for days and days to get the perfect meal ready for the whole family. I haven’t officially hosted on my own yet but I I have some tips for keeping Thanksgiving fun and simple. I like to keep things simple!
Get the Whole Family Involved
One of my biggest tips would be to get everyone involved. Thanksgiving is a family holiday after all, right? It shouldn’t be work just for one. Everyone needs to contribute and work together. That makes it more fun! If Mom or Grandma is working on the turkey, Dad can be planning the Thanksgiving cocktails.
It’s always fun to serve different and holiday drinks that the adults will like. The book Clean Cocktails for the Modern Mixologist uses low-calorie drinks with fresh juices to offer clean cocktails.
I love refreshing drinks with a splash of fruit so this strawberry limeade sounds delish! Many of these recipes are pitcher sized so it’s great for serving people for a gathering.
It’s always a great idea to have a variety of drink ideas available for both adults and kids. It’s fun to make a ‘fancy’ drink for kids so they know they are extra special too! These Sipp Sparkling Organic drinks are perfect for this holiday season. They come in 6 flavors with blended herbs, fruits, and agave.
What’s great is that you can serve this over ice for kids to make it fancy or add in something else for your adults!
Keep It Simple
So how do you do this? Well, you just do! You don’t go overboard with the meal and the decor. My mom always loves to have the most beautiful table. And it usually is a beautiful table but not everyone notices it and then she gets mad. Instead of spending all the time on the perfect tablescape and decor why not go for something like an Edible Arrangement?
This works really 3 ways. It can be a great host/hostess gift, it makes a beautiful table centerpiece/decor, and it will get eaten!! This also makes for the perfect Thanksgiving dessert. My kids went nuts over this Salted Caramel Harvest Bouquet with Orange Swizzle Berries. Not only was it delicious but it made my table beautiful and was the perfect fall decor for the holiday season!

Don’t Forget the Pets
With this being our first Thanksgiving with our sweet Lucky dog we are surely not going to forget him! Now he can have his own Thanksgiving treats with these Superfoods Chewy dog treats. They are made with turkey, sweet potato, and cinnamon.
Lucky dog smelled the package right away and knew we had something special for him! He loved them, and I loved that they are grain free.
Remember to Give Back
This is a great time to be thankful and think of others. With Petlanthropy, you can easily donate online for dogs or cats. The gift cards help local cats, kittens, puppies, and dogs in need.
This is such an easy and nice thing to do. This would be the perfect gift for that animal lover that has everything! You can make a donation in their name to the local animal shelter project of your choice!
What are your best tips for an easy and simple Thanksgiving? Happy Holidays!
