I actually get asked this question a lot. “How Do You Do It All? or Are you Super Mom?” For me, I’m a working Mom, I have 2 kids ages 7 and 2. I’m also a wife to a teacher/coach that isn’t home much, and I’m a Blogger. Like Most Moms, I do all the grocery shopping, 90% of the cooking, all the laundry, and cleaning. I help do all the homework, set up/shuttle to activities/play dates, and handle all the Dr/Dentist appointments. I make all the lunches/fill up all the water bottles, and help pick out clothes. It’s a never ending job. I know a lot of you are in the same boat! Β Honestly, I don’t know how I manage it all. I can say that not everything gets done every single day. I got some advice from a former Principal when I was pregnant with my daughter. She told me that I was never going to be perfect. And that one day I’d probably be a good teacher and I might be a bad Mom. I could one day be a great Mom and a bad Wife. Life isn’t perfect! I’m constantly thinking about what she said almost 8 years ago.
There are days when I feel so great like I’ve accomplished so much and I go to bed so happy. Then there are the days I get discouraged and I’m mad/sad/angry at the world and feeling like I have so much to do and so little time. Do you ever feel like that?
You take what is important to you and do what you can. Every day I know my kids will have eaten, they will have clean clothes on (maybe), and pretty much their basic needs will have been met! If there is any time left over, I try and do things I need to do. Like blogging, making photo books, exercising, or chatting with friends. I have Mommy friends that are avid readers. They are always talking about some great book they read. I always think “When do they read?” I also have friends that are in extremely awesome shape. They work really hard at it and look amazing. That’s what they make a priority and that’s great! Everyone is different.
The next time someone asks “Are you a Super Mom?” I’m going to say “YES I am, and YOU are too!” Go Moms!
Did you ever see this? This was a cute movie that came out a few years
ago. It didn’t get much hype but I could really relate.Β It’s
all about a busy working Mom and how much she juggles on a given day. If
you are a Mom, you can relate! You might even feel sorry for her π If
you are not a Mom, it might make you appreciate a Mom you know.

Terrific piece. I love what that principal told you. I remember when my kids where young and trying to keep up with them, my job, my husband's business and our home some days it would be so overwhelming. You do a miraculous job!

I hated that book/movie because I related to it, so at the end when she realizes she can't do it all and quits to be a stay at home mom it was like a slap in the face. I hated that the answer to "I Don't Know How She Does It" was "she can't." The truth is, so many of us can and have to. My husband isn't a successful architect like the husband in the book/movie, he is a stay at home Dad and he is amazing at it, but that means I have to succeed at doing it all. I wish that there wasn't such a stigma towards working moms π

Thanks for your honesty Tiffany! Working Moms have it VERY hard. I'm sure you are doing an amazing job and good for you! Hugs from one working mom to another π

Hi via #SITSBlogging! I can totally relate to your post! There is never enough time in a mommy's day. Sometimes I feel accomplished, others like a complete mom failure. What keeps me going is that I know tomorrow will be another day! Thanks for sharing this π

My goodness, I really don't know how working mothers do it. I can't "do it all" and I'm at home full-time. π

I recognize it. I am a wife, mother of a 5 year old, blogger, horse trainer, business owner and love books. I didn’t see the movie.
To the answer How do I do it? I ‘read’ book in my car. I just LOVE audiobooks while I am driving.:-))
