Baked Cheese Twists {Perfect With Soups and Salads}

These baked cheese twists are so tasty and make the perfect addition to any soup!

One of our favorite (and totally easy meals) is tomato soup and grilled cheese. My kids either like both or one of the two so it’s something we can all enjoy and it makes it super nice for me. Instead of our typical grilled cheese, I wanted to try something new that everyone would like.

My kids love cheese and they love bread and crackers so I decided to try to bake something that would serve as a toast type addition to our soup. This is how baked cheese twists were discovered!

These baked cheese twists are delicious, easy to make, and go perfectly with any soup or salad!

The cheese twists took a few minutes to prep but then the rest was done in the oven. This was great because once these hit the oven I made the soup and everything was ready at the same time.

Another great thing about these baked cheese twists is that they are great for school lunches or just to snack on!

My family loved these so we didn’t have any leftover in the next few days 🙂

Baked Cheese Twists

This is a delicious breadstick that is perfect for soups and salads.

Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 8 minutes
Total Time 18 minutes
Servings 4 people

Ingredients

  • 1 can pizza dough
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan shredded cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • non-stick cooking spray
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 pizza cutter
  • cutting board

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Unroll pizza dough and into a rectangle.

In a bowl, combine the cheese, garlic salt, and paprika.

Spray some non-stick cooking spray over the top of the dough.

Sprinkle half of the cheese and season mixture on top.

Fold the dough in half to form a smaller rectangle.

Spray the top of the dough with non-stick spray.

Coat the top with the rest of the cheese and season mixture.

Press the cheese mixture into the dough with your fingers or a fork.

Using the pizza cutter, cut the dough into 8 in long strips.

Pick up both ends of a strip and twist together.

Keep going and twisting each one.

Place twists on a coated baking sheet with room in between each.

    Bake 8-10 minutes until browned.

Are you ready to make these baked cheese twists?! They smelled so amazing as I was baking them we couldn’t wait to try one!

These would go well with soups and salads.
