I love a good kitchen shortcut. In fact, I love all shortcuts in life. I have the best kitchen shortcut to share with you that is saving me so much time. Anything that saves me time in the kitchen is a win in my book.
Have you ever wanted to snap your fingers and magically have all the washing, chopping, and peeling of fresh herbs done with no mess at all?! Well… now you can! You can have it all! That makes this Mommy so happy.
Luckily I have discovered the best kitchen shortcut that is saving me so much time and I’m not wasting food, which is really good too!
My shortcut is using Dorot Gardens. They are fresh frozen, portion-controlled garlic and herbs. I found them in the frozen veggie section of my local grocery store.
I couldn’t wait to use them to make my favorite homemade salsa recipe last week.
I can use them in so many dips and other recipes I make on a weekly basis! I love that they have ideas on their website too! Click here for $1 off coupon.
Homemade Salsa
The best homemade salsa recipe around!
- can whole tomatoes
- 2-3 seeded jalapenos (use seeds if like it spicy)
- 1/2 white onion (small)
- 2-3 tbs cumin
- 1 tbs sugar
- 2 tbs lime juice
- 1 cube dorot gardens garlic
- 1 cube dorot gardens cilantro
-
Place everything in a food processor and mix together. Depending on how you like your salsa, is the amount of time you will mix. I like mine runny, so I mix mine longer. If you like it chunky then don’t mix the tomatoes as much. If you like it spicy then add in more jalapenos for more kick!
Serve with chips!
